Hello again!,

Our Mind Benders Activities this past week were; World Vacation Spots - where questions were asked about different countries and everyone had to guess the country we were referring to and; Closure Phrases - e.g. “Laughter is the best…” (medicine). The ladies and gentlemen seemed to enjoy these activities whilst having a laugh at the same time.

The Agility Activity was Target Bean Bag - some residents even surprised themselves at how far they could throw those colourful bags on the Twister mat! We did our warm-up to Offenbach as one of the ladies really enjoys classical music.

Coming up is music from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, indoor/outdoor Boules and a video of The Ballet Class with Maria Fay which I know will keep another one of the ladies especially happy.

Brian the Music Man is due at the end of the month which is an afternoon everyone looks forward to.

A favourite pastime this last week or so (along with the rest of the country!) has been the enjoyment and cheering on of Team GB as the British Athletes excel at the Beijing Olympics. It’s been a tense and exciting games so far and Team Valerie Manor wish all the athletes well in the closing week of the games.
