Oh how I love this time of the year!We have been very lucky to have had so many wonderful sunny days. The leaves on the trees are starting to change into their beautiful Autumn colours. Some ladies and gentlemen have been sitting outside enjoying the late sunshine and the beautiful surroundings.
Activity wise we were very physical in September... exercising with Pom Poms, Line Dancing from our chairs and after having fun with Rhyming Slang we learnt the Lambeth Walk actions.
We enjoyed two Theme Days. One was Mexican Independence Day
with decorated dining room, themed food and Mexican music. Our second was an
Aloha Day. We all wore Leis, our lovely Carers wore grass skirts. Before going
to lunch in a decorated dining room we sampled a traditional Hawaiian
Punch... Mo’as Power Punch... no, it wasn’t alcoholic ! and Pinesesse Logs... again
a traditional pre-lunch nibble. We exercised to Hawaiian music and enjoyed a
themed lunch and supper. Our ‘Mind Benders’ included Opposites and Requests, a Pub Quiz and a Memories Game where each lady and gentleman were asked various questions about their life... where they were born, where they went to school to name but a few.
Please look out for our Posters for the BBC Children in Need Appeal. This is in November but will be on display during October.
