It has been a hectic week for everyone as the study
area has been decorated following the repair of the roof. This has meant that
the resident's have been enjoying extra time in the dining room sharing sing-alongs and games with the
staff while the work has been taking place. It's been lovely to see the
resident's enjoying themselves, and with little disruption to their day – Thank you
to all the staff and to John (dad, left), our regular handyman and decorator, for making this week go as smoothly as possible.
Extension Planning
I am pleased to say that the extension planning is coming along nicely and following a meeting with the architects this week we are aiming to go out to tender in January with a provisional build start date of March / April 2010. This is an exciting time for everyone and the architects have made some suggestions as to how the residents and staff can get involved. They will shortly be providing us with templates of the garden area so that everyone can have their say in the landscaping of the gardens.
