Hello, apologies for the delay! Here's a brief summary of last month's activities...

We started the month celebrating Oktoberfest with authentic German music and themed lunch and supper. A couple of fun ‘Mind Benders’ were... Happy/Grouchy Stuff and Chicken and/or Egg... smiles all round! Giant Snakes and Ladders, Score a Goal and Balloon Tennis got us all moving. Our tambourines and bells came out to play along to some Steel Drum Music... ’Oh Island in the Sun’ never sounded so good! We have a real musical gang at Valerie Manor... watch out Simon Cowell! The ladies and gentlemen always enjoy their monthly visit from Bryan with his accordion who joined us at the end of the month.

Halloween decorations took over Zoe’s study ready for the 31st. Zoe was away for a few days but Emma had all the preparations in hand and made sure the Manor was suitably spooky for the day. A couple of our lovely ladies said they would be out on their broomsticks! Special fairy cakes and ‘Ghost’ biscuits were decorated as a Halloween Activity.

We’re getting ready for the BBC Children in Need.  Zoe had the great idea of having a few days of sponsored activities... look out for the posters and please support this cause and our ladies and gentlemen.

Watch out for our November ‘Indian Curry Day’ (It’s actually Indian Curry Week but I thought that was pushing it  bit too far!).

Bye for now
