Here I am
again. The snow has gone and we’ve enjoyed a few sunny days with the evenings getting lighter. I actually love the dark nights... all cosy in front of the fire!
February saw us celebrating Valentines Day by cutting out and decorating heart shapes. Those ladies and gents who opted for the Chinese supper when we celebrated the Chinese New Year really enjoyed it. The dining room looked great with the decorations. Another theme was The Oscars where sparkly top hats adorned the tables as well as various ‘props’ around the room.
We enjoyed the Alphabet Game and had a Pub Quiz which always goes down very well with a tipple! 10 Pin Bowling, Score a Goal and throwing our Giant Dice to see who can score the highest number were some of our Physical Activities. After a warm-up to some lovely Aromatherapy Music we had a good giggle exercising with pom-poms.... watch out you Cheer Leaders!
We didn’t forget the birds this month, most residents enjoyed the challenge of making bird feeders with pine cones stuffed with peanut butter and wild bird seed and threading popcorn and dried dates onto yarn. Look out for the photos of the shrubs being decorated for the birds to take their fill.
We kicked off March with St.David’s Day. A themed Lunch and Supper with a Welsh Quiz. But more of that in our next monthly summary!...
Bye for now
