Hello again, here is an update on the April Activities.
Again a very busy month with Easter Celebrations as well. The ladies and gentlemen thoroughly enjoyed decorating Easter bonnets. One lovely lady wearing hers out to lunch with her family! The Chocolate Easter Bunnies presented by Zoe brought many happy smiling faces. On the Queen’s Birthday everyone enjoyed traditional British Fayre including a Cream Tea in the garden thanks to the sunshine!
Our ‘ Mind Benders’ in April included Matched Sets, Closure Phrases and Animal Words to name but a few. Physical Activities included Musical Hats (great fun!) The Giant Dice Game and Target Toss. We had a Max Bygraves Sing-a-long and a visit from our regular entertainer Brian.
May sees three more Theme Days. These days always go down well as our ladies and gentlemen love to see the dining room decorated and most try the different food we have to offer. We have a Mexican ‘Cinco de Mayo’, Spanish Armada Day, we are also celebrating John Wayne’s Birthday! the menu for the latter chosen by the residents. Another favourite entertaining pair... Rita and Peter... are due to pay us a visit.
I’m afraid I have not been around for the past few weeks as I am busy putting final preparations to my forthcoming Show... "Let’s Dance! presents...The Musicals" (more in my separate blog entry). Although I have not been around John has been coming over on a regular basis to plough through a list of jobs given to him by Zoe!; He may be retired but his daughter is making sure he does not get bored!
